GnomeQOL
Quality-of-life improvements for Burglin' Gnomes.
Features
General
- ToggleKey (default
F7) – Open/close the in-game QOL panel. The panel scrolls if it's taller than your screen, and all settings apply live while it's open.
Tasks HUD (client)
- ShowTasksHUD – Display your active tasks on-screen (no need to open the paper).
- Show carried gnomium – Show stockpile and/or carried gnomium so you know when to bank.
- Draggable – Drag the tasks box anywhere on screen (grab it while the
F7panel is open, since that's when the cursor is free). Its position is remembered between sessions. - Box opacity – Adjust the background transparency of the tasks box (0 = text only, 1 = solid).
- ToggleKey (default
F5) – Show/hide the tasks HUD.
Round Time (Host only)
- Override the real-time length of a round (default 20 minutes).
Quota (Host only)
- Override the gnomium quota required for the round.
Inventory (Host only)
- Bigger inventory – Increase your item slots (0–6). The 2 equipment slots (wearables) are fixed by the game and are added automatically.
- Bigger stacks – Custom max stack size.
Note: The game's inventory UI has a fixed number of slot cells. Asking for more item slots than the UI can display logs a "resized past its maximum slot count" warning and the extra slots won't be usable. If you see that, lower the item-slot value until it stops. Setting 6 item slots requests 8 total (6 item + 2 equipment).
Items (Host only)
- Infinite durability – Equipment never loses durability.
Respawn (Host only)
- Set a custom gnomium cost to respawn teammates (including free).
Well (Host only)
- Only host can buy from the Well – Blocks clients from crafting equipment, furniture, and potions at the Well. Host crafts still work.
Player
- Push Resistance (client) – You cannot be pushed or shoved.
- No Container Damage (host) – Take no damage from freezer / oven / fire containers.
Movement (Client)
- Enable movement tweaks.
- Speed Multiplier – Walk/run speed.
- Jump Multiplier – Jump strength (higher jumps).
- Infinite Stamina – Never run out of stamina.
- No Fall Damage – Take no fall damage.
Self-Rescue (Solo / Host)
Break free from situations that are otherwise unwinnable on your own — like being picked up and carried off by a human when there's no teammate to help.
- Break free when carried – Mash the struggle key (default
Space) while a human is carrying you to release yourself, using the game's own release so it behaves like a normal rescue. - Presses to free – How many presses it takes to break loose (an earned escape, not an instant button).
- Re-grab grace – After breaking free, the human that held you can't immediately grab you again for this many seconds (0 = off).
- Also untie self – Clear the tied effect when you break free.
Solo/host only: releasing a carried player is a host-authoritative action, so this applies when you are the lobby host (which you always are in solo).
Comfort (Client)
- Dampen damage screen effects – Reduce the red/frozen screen overlay when taking container damage, with an adjustable strength (0 = fully off, 1 = normal).
- Brighten dark areas (experimental / Not working) – Boost ambient light so dark areas are easier to see. Reversible; effectiveness can vary depending on the scene.
Manual Installation
- Install BepInEx 5 for the game.
- Place
GnomeQOL.dllintoBepInEx/plugins/. - Launch the game. The config file will be generated automatically.
Configuration
All settings can be changed live through the in-game panel (F7) or by editing the config file:
BepInEx/config/com.odinplus.gnomeqol.cfg
Most host-only options only take effect when you are the lobby host.
Movement, stamina, fall damage, push resistance, self-rescue, and the tasks HUD work for you as a client.
Notes
- Jump multiplier is applied at the moment a jump is performed.
- Speed and jump changes apply only to your own gnome.
- Inventory, quota, round time, durability, respawn cost, and Well purchase blocking are host-authoritative.
- Self-rescue and the "also untie self" action are host/solo only.
- The 2 equipment slots are fixed and can't be expanded; the "Bigger inventory" option only affects item slots, and the usable maximum is limited by the game's inventory UI.
- "Brighten dark areas" is experimental and should be toggled off right now.
